Clifton Community Library is pleased to announce our summer learning experience for teens!
For four weeks this summer, interested teens will come to the library and learn the basics of librarianship. They will be given instruction in patron service, circulation, collection development, and programming.
Students entering grades 9-12 this fall are eligible to participate. Students must make a commitment to attend for four consecutive weeks, once per week for four hours. They will experience hands-on training and directo service to the community.
At the end of the summer, all students participating in the program will plan and execute a program for the public to attend.
Upon completion of the program, students will receive an evaluation and certificate of completion from the library staff and board of trustees.
Applications (below) must be received by May 31. A short in-person interview will be conducted in early June with an orientation for students and parents just after school ends. Date TBA as soon as possible.
Applications can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any questions, feel free to email or call our librarian, Kate (315.848.3256).
